Princes Court has appointed Melbourne-based construction firm Commercial Industrial Construction Group (CICG) to deliver its new residential aged care development in Mildura, with the project now moving into the construction phase.
Following an extensive planning and due diligence process, the appointment marks a significant step forward for the project, which will provide a new, 50-bed, purpose-designed facility to support older people with more complex care needs, responding to growing demand for aged care services across the region. The new facility will be immediately adjacent the current 101-bed Princes Court Homes.
CICG brings strong experience across health, aged care and community infrastructure projects, with a track record of delivering large-scale developments across regional Victoria. Their portfolio includes projects such as the Mildura Sporting Precinct and clinician and student accommodation at Mildura Base Public Hospital.
The company is known for its structured approach to project delivery, with a focus on collaboration, risk management and maintaining continuity of service in live environments – an important consideration for Princes Court as the site remains operational throughout the build.
Care for our current Homes residents will continue as normal throughout construction, with careful planning in place to minimise disruption.
Construction is expected to commence in the coming days, with completion anticipated in September 2027.
Princes Court CEO Anthony Couroupis said the appointment of CICG represents an important milestone for both the organisation and the wider community.
“This project is about ensuring our community continues to have access to high-quality aged care close to home, now and well into the future,” Mr Couroupis said.
“We’ve taken the time to ensure we have the right builder appointed, and we’re confident in CICG’s ability to deliver a facility that reflects the needs of those we support.”
The development forms a key part of the Together campaign, which aims to raise $6 million in community support to help bring the full vision for the project to life.
Princes Court will continue to keep neighbours and the broader community informed as construction progresses.
