Princes Court is continuing to progress its Together campaign, supporting the development of a new residential aged care facility in Mildura.
With government approvals secured, major funding in place and a building contractor now appointed, the project is moving into its next phase, with construction now underway on site.
The development has been supported by $11 million in funding from the Australian Government, reflecting the importance of the project in meeting future aged care needs in the region. The Together campaign aims to raise $6 million in community support to help bring the full vision to life.
Princes Court CEO Anthony Couroupis said the project reflects the organisation’s long-standing commitment to care, community and continually improving how aged care is delivered.
“For almost 70 years, Princes Court has supported older people and their families across Sunraysia. This new development will carry that legacy forward, supporting older people to live well, every day,” he said.
The new facility will offer modern, home-like living environments centred around smaller household models, landscaped gardens, and shared spaces that promote connection, wellbeing and dignity and support staff to deliver high-quality care.
Princes Court Board Chair Steve Fumberger said the Together campaign provides an opportunity for the community to be part of the project as it progresses.
“The people coming into aged care now are requiring more complex care, and this new facility will ensure we can meet those needs into the future. Princes Court has always been built by the community, for the community, and that support is what continues to make this possible.”
As a community-owned and governed organisation, Princes Court continues to play an important role in supporting older people and their families across the region.
The Together campaign aims to raise $6 million in community support to help bring the full vision for the development to life. Community members, local businesses and organisations are invited to contribute in a way that is meaningful to them, with community support helping to enhance the environment, comfort and experience for future residents.
As construction begins, Princes Court will continue to share updates with the community as the project progresses.
