In a significant development for the Mildura community, Princes Court Limited and the Board of Directors have officially unveiled plans for a state-of-the-art residential aged care facility. With a generous grant of $11 million from the Commonwealth Government, coupled with Princes Court Limited’s commitment, this $23.5 million project aims to set a new standard for aged care in the region.

Lyn Heaysman, Chair of Princes Court Board of Directors, expressed enthusiasm for the project, emphasising the collaborative effort between the government and the private sector. “The substantial grant from the Commonwealth Government underscores their dedication to ensuring quality aged care services are available in major regional centers like Mildura. Princes Court Limited shares this commitment and strives to provide exceptional care, making our residents’ lives as comfortable and fulfilling as possible,” Mrs. Heaysman remarked.

The new facility, set to be constructed at the end of Princes Street adjacent to existing buildings, is poised to create significant business synergies. Mrs. Heaysman detailed the features of the two-story structure, which will include 50 ensuite rooms spread across four households, common areas, landscaped gardens, and modern amenities tailored to address a variety of complex care and mobility needs.

Princes Court, shed light on the project timeline, stating that construction is slated to commence shortly. “Detailed planning is already underway, and we anticipate opening the doors to this innovative facility in mid-2026. Throughout the pre-construction phase, we will engage in extensive consultation, research, and planning to ensure the final design aligns seamlessly with the needs of our residents.”

Ms. Chappell highlighted the broader impact of the new facility, explaining, “This expansion not only enhances our capacity to deliver residential aged care but also complements Princes Court’s existing services, including the Princes Court Village and our recently launched Princes Court At Home service.”

As Mildura prepares for the groundbreaking of this transformative project, the community can look forward to a future where elderly residents receive unparalleled care, support, and an enriched quality of life. The collaborative efforts of Princes Court Limited and the Commonwealth Government signify a shared vision for a compassionate and progressive aged care landscape in the heart of Mildura.
