The level of support available for elderly individuals varies according to their needs, and can range from basic care to high care requirements. The amount of in home care services a person can receive is determined by their funding, which is allocated by the Aged Care Assessment Service and My Aged Care. Therefore, the extent of financial support one receives can significantly impact the level of care they are able to access.

For further information regarding the assessment process, one may refer to the My Aged Care website, which provides comprehensive details on how the evaluation is conducted. It is important to note that the funding allocation process is a critical component of the aged care system, as it determines the range and quality of services available to support the elderly population.
