Residents live independently and securely within a supportive and friendly community at our Mildura retirement village. Our two and three-bedroom units have been architecturally designed with retirement living in mind.

Princes Court Retirement Village in Mildura is the jewel in our organisation. Purpose built commencing in 2006 and completed in 2010, our Mildura retirement village community has been architecturally designed using Princes Court’s experience in meeting the residential housing requirements of older persons.

The Village consists of 55 independent living units in 2 and 3 bedroom configurations, some with double garages. Residences have all been designed with modern appliances and consideration given to resident’s needs and living standards.

Our Village Coordinator is on site 5 days a week and a permanent maintenance staff member supports the residents’ needs and looks after the common area gardens.
 
Given the location next to Princes Court Homes, hot freshly cooked meals can be delivered every day if you choose.

FACILITIES

The facilities are vast and varied within the village, there is definitely something here for everyone.

Utilising the Allied Health Services building of the old Mildura Base Hospital, the Village community centre has been redesigned to be a state of the art hub for community life at the village.

The community centre is available for resident’s leisure and activities including a library with an extensive book collection, billiard room, lounge and bar area for social gatherings, the “Ozone” cinema with big screen and state of the art recliners, fitness centre, hair salon, auditorium and meeting room. Along with many social activities organised by the Resident’s Social Committee, visitors and new residents are always welcome. The Supervisor also produces an extensive monthly newsletter full of village information and a calendar of all the regular activities available and when.

Our Mildura retirement village is also fully landscaped, with the inclusion of fruit trees lining the drive ways and a community vegetable and fruit garden allowing residents to maintain their active lifestyle and share in the fruits of their labour with other residents.

There is also a lockable caravan and boat parking area along with the Men’s Shed – fully equipped for residents to continue their interests and passion in wood and metal work. Residents have an opportunity to retain their favourite tools and equipment when 

moving into the Village and share them with others in this secured environment.

Located in the heart of Mildura, access to all types of services, shopping and transport are within easy reach.

Princes Court Village is a secure site, with nightly security patrols and automatic lockable gates after a certain time at night to ensure only those who have a right to be there, including all emergency services, are able to gain vehicular entry. This allows you to enjoy life knowing you are safe and secure at our Mildura aged care facility, and that our emergency services are always available.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES

Residents at our Mildura aged care facility are offered physical exercise through walking groups, gentle assisted exercise, chair exercise, sport and games tailored to suit different needs.

We encourage those residents with a passion for gardening to continue to do so, with our gardening staff always welcoming any assistance offered. Resources available for use with physical fitness include bats & balls, indoor bowls, skittles, hooky board, shuffle board and an assortment of other games and equipment. Walking to and from areas within our lovely gardens in the fresh air is a key component of everyday life at Princes Court retirement village in Mildura.

Units at the Princes Court retirement village in Mildura are leased under a ‘Lease for life’ concept. Village residents enter an agreement with Princes Court which entitles them to occupy the unit for a maximum of 49 years, however you can choose to terminate your lease sooner.

A lump sum payment is required upfront to secure the unit, which is organised through Collie & Tierney Real Estate, who can be contacted here.

Yes, residents at our Mildura retirement village are responsible for the normal costs of living in a home including electricity, phone and gas, however residents are not liable for their water usage. There is also a daily maintenance fee which is paid monthly in advance, and allows for the upkeep of common areas, insurance, security and emergency systems.

Yes, there is currently a wait list managed by Collie & Tierney. It is free to join the wait list and you will be kept updated on your application’s progress. You can apply to be added to the wait list here.

To be eligible for a place in one of our Mildura retirement villages, you and your spouse must be aged 55 or over, retired from full time work, and have the ability to meet financial requirements of occupancy. The village is designed for independent living, meaning you will still be required to live independently within the community.
