Mildura/Media release: February 13, 2024
Mildura’s largest aged care provider, Princes Court, has a new head, with experienced executive leader and longstanding Mildura resident, Anthony Couroupis, announced as Interim CEO.
As a current Board member of Princes Court Limited, Mr Couroupis succeeds former Princes Court CEO, Carrie Chappell, who served in the role for the past 14 months.
Princes Court Board of Directors Chair, Lyn Heaysman, said Mr Couroupis would bring to the role extensive experience in corporate leadership and strategic vision during the interim, transitional phase of CEO recruitment. “The Board is confident that under Anthony’s guidance, Princes Court retirement village in Mildura will continue to thrive, upholding the commitment to excellence in aged care and lifestyle that Princes Court is renowned for,” Ms Heaysman said.
“Anthony will be actively engaged with the Princes Court team and will work to maintain and bolster the strong connections within the Princes Court community. We eagerly anticipate the positive impact Anthony will bring to the organisation during his tenure. The Board remains committed to keeping all stakeholders informed throughout this process of CEO renewal and is confident this leadership change heralds the beginning of an exciting new chapter for Princes Court.”
“Anthony has committed to a six-month tenure as our interim CEO, and in that time, the Board will assess the needs of the business for a permanent appointment to the CEO role. Anthony will also step down from his Board role during this time.
Mr Couroupis said he “aimed to nurture the connections that exist within Princes Court and to build even stronger links between our facilities and the wider community.” he said.
“I’ll also be working with the Board to complete our strategic planning process and progress planning work for our major building project – a new $23.5 million residential aged care facility at Princes Court, with an opening penned for mid-2026.”
